Bandish Projekt, one of India’s top electronic fusion acts is pressing hard to launch their 2nd studio Album offering. To make things interesting, Mr.Narvekar has come up with a remix competition. This competition is open for all. Apart from getting a chance to win a Soundcloud pro account, the winners of this competition would get a chance to release this track worldwide digitally via Sony Music which is a great opportunity to get your music to a diverse audience. No bar on genre, one is free to modify and modulate as one pleases. One can also add flavour with Vocals or Instruments from around the world. Competition is on till 31st August, Sunday. Winners will be announced on 5th September.
The track chosen for the remix Competition is Folk Tronik from BhejaFry Records. The winning remix track would be part of a Remixes EP which would showcase the best of the cutting edge sounds via Indian and International producers from around the world of EDM. This EP is the remix of their earlier album Correkt which was released in 2009 on Bheja Fry Records. The release date for this is October 2012.Some rules to keep in mind for this:
· Remix the track into your favorite style according to your own taste/interpretation.
· Submit your remix to the competition drop box
· All entries must include “Bandish Projekt –Folk tronik”– along with your registered email
· The entries should not be downloadable on their respective Soundcloud pages.
· One winner would be selected by Bandish Projekt depending on the sounds and overall interpretation of the original track and Decision once taken will not be changed.
· The winner will receive a release worldwide (subject to release scheduling & label approval) plus 12 Month Sound cloud Pro Account.
· Tracks using un-clear samples from sources outside of these remix parts will be disqualified .It’s ok to use your own original/recorded sounds and samples or any material from licensed sample packs.
· All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved.
· Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix or remix parts is prohibited.
· Your submission of a remix in this contest automatically constitutes your agreement to these rules.

A similar but different competition is also in progress currently by one of the major paint companies with cash prizes of upto a Lac to be won. In this one, Musicians/Producers need to recreate the company jingle, from which people can vote for their favoraite entry, depending upon a panel of judges who would choose the winner.
