British trance/dance music gurus and the owners of the renowned label Anjunabeats, Above & Beyond, are setting foot in India for the second time this winter and this time the show takes place in not one, not two, but across three cities. They are being brought to India by the dance music promoters, Submerge to perform in late November on the following dates:
Friday, November 22, 2013 – Bangalore
Saturday, November 23, 2013 – Delhi
Sunday, November 24, 2013 – Mumbai
The hosts of the weekly two-hour radio show, ‘Group Therapy’ came to India last year on November 10, 2012 to conclude their epic ‘Trance Around The World’ series with its 450th episode (TATW#450) and commence their new series ‘Group Therapy Radio Show’ (ABGT001). The event, which was also organized by Submerge at Jaymahal Palace, Bangalore, marked an epoch in the history of EDM/trance music events in the country.
For those of you who don’t know, Above and Beyond is a three piece group which formed in London at the University of Westminster when members Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki met while pursuing a course in Electronic Engineering. They were later on joined by Tony McGuinness, who had heard about the duo from his brother and wanted to work with them to complete his unfinished remix. Their show, ‘Trance Around The World’ have had a wide listenership around the word and the trend continues with ‘Group Therapy’ in which the three perform one after the other, each DJ getting a half hour slot, with the last slot kept for guest artists.
