Doom Over Bangalore 2013 Announced

Echoes from Beneath is an upcoming fest put together by Vikram Bhat from Dying Embrace, Srikanth Panaman from Bevar Sea, and Sandesh Shenoy of Cyclopean Eye Productions. Having been behind most of the better underground club shows in the past few years, the trio joined forces to do the first edition of Doom Over Bangalore in June 2013. The show was a great success, with a fantastic response from fans and bands alike, so they decided to continue doing the Devil’s work with a new series of metal gigs featuring bands from outside the country and out of Bangalore, playing alongside some of the best local bands.

The name Echoes from Beneath came from a now defunct online radio channel that the trio ran with a couple of other freinds which was in turn was named after the Finnish Death Metal band Slugathor’s brilliant album. Come September, the first edition of Echoes from Beneath will see the Sri Lankan Occult Death metal titans Genocide Shrines headline the show. The band, fresh on the heels of a very successful and acclaimed debut EP on Sandesh’s Cyclopean Eye Productions (CD/Tape), are known for their ferocious live performances and will be bringing it to the country for the first time. Accompanying them for this gig will be the local Doom fiends Bevar Sea who will be debuting some new material alongside the crowd favourites. Supported by a very strong guest line-up, this first edition promises to be another belter of a gig!
