The fourth edition of the annual “Psycho Holiday” will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Academy Hall in Kohima, Nagaland. This one day event features six bands from Nagaland and one from Assam, three of which were selected through a vote-out held on Facebook to be awarded a special promotion package. The list of seven bands performing is as follows:
Anti-Trust – Hardcore Crunch Heavy Metal from Kohima, Nagaland
Syphilectomy – Guttural Slamming Brutal Death Metal from Kohima, Nagaland
Deception – Metalcore/Experimental Metal from Kohima, Nagaland
Deafen – Experimental Metal from Dimapur, Nagaland
Cambyses – Amp-Core/Nerd core from Dimapur, Nagaland
Switch Blade – Nu-Metal from Kohima, Nagaland
Wake the Chiron – Metal-Core / Djent from Guwahati, Assam
For this years’ event, a total of 27 bands registered from the North East India region, out of which 7 bands from three different cities were selected. The three bands winning the “Psycho Promo Contest” are Cambyses (332 votes), Deafen (269 votes) and Swtich Blade (84 votes). The event is organized by Moshfall Headbangers United, an event management team based in Kohima, Nagaland. The organization was formed in late January 2011 and so far has received many positive feedbacks and supports. Apart from event management, the group also deals with Graphic Designing, All Kinds of Printing, Musking Rental, Stage Designing and Photography.
