Amey Tripwire(CT Records): You’ve been featured on compilations before, what’s the difference in this one?
I Quit(IQ): This one is special as it is dedicated to all DIY Punk Bands and Punk is surely the ‘endangered’ Genre. Of course, there are lots of Big acts being featured in this compilation and a lot of promotion going on to launch the same. It feels great to be a part of it. And Yeah we are so stoked about the fact that our song is going to be on Vinyl.
Amey: What era of punk bands were you exposed to and what influence did you derive?
I.Q.: We are more of Pop-Punk/alternate band but our audience tag us as HAPPY FEEL PUNK. We are heavily influenced by Bands like New found Glory, Yellowcard, All time low, Patent Pending and not to forget, Breaking Benjamin, which serves as the base of our ‘Alternative’ influence. Earlier we were also into the mainstream bands like Green day(till American Idiot), Blink 182, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Bowling for Soup.
Amey: How is Chandigarh in terms of politics and the law and order?
IQ: The only thing which comes into our mind when you say the word POLITICAL is the ‘POLITICAL MAP OF INDIA’, jokes apart we are still not over with the regular shit going on in our lives which serve enough mess to deal with and politics is a heavy shit, we are still growing up and They say ‘you don’t grow up, you just grow old’.
Chandigarh is a very peaceful place and we are very much satisfied with the law enforcement in the city. BTW i just got my bike’s Registration papers back after getting a ticket just before a Gig.
Amey: What interests you other than music?
Sushil: Killing time watching sitcoms, recording and mixing tutorials.
Nikhil: Chalking out Zombie-apocalypse escape plans!
Amit: Hanging around high schools.
Mayank: Still listening to Linkin Park.
Amey: What’s the message in “Far Away” which is featured on this compilation?I.Q.: ‘Far away’ is about that one moment when you try to open up your heart to someone you like the most but the moment passes so fast that all you do is smile and move on.
