Simple Plan attacks Mood Indigo

Simple Plan - Pierre Bouvier

After years of keeping their fans waiting, French-Canadian rock band from Montreal is finally going to perform in India. They are scheduled to perform at the nationwide festival that happens once a year at IIT Bombay, Mood Indigo. As the final act of the already famous college Fest Simple Plan is geared up to entertain their best audience, college students.

A five person band, Simple Plan has been around for 10 years now, playing what can only be called new-age dude rock for the masses. A winner of a Teen Choice Award in 2005, Simple Plan is popular among the younger crowds of the world. They have released four studio albums thus far, their latest (Get your heart on! – 2011) being featured on the Indian leg of their tour along with cult favorites of course.

Winner of the Juno award for Fans Choice, Simple Plan are looking forward to the “food and culture in store for them in India”, says Frontman and Vocalist Pierre Bouvier. Bombay being one of the hubs of young life in the courtry, Simple Plan is sure to find their dose of India there. Mood Indigo has witnessed the likes of Australian rock band Karnivool, Brit act Porcupine Tree as well as Swedish metal-heads Katatonia in the past, who have headlined the fest. “We wanted to do something different this time, which is why we thought of a punk-rock band”, says Palash Kulkarni, Head of Media Relations, Mood-I. And thus you have Simple Plan headlining Livewire Night.  Here is a look at what is in store for those of you who make your way to IIT Bombay in December:
