RIDHII’S MUSIC
Eight Octaves: What was it like growing up as a girl interested in music?
Riddhi: Great actually! I get everything I have from my grandmum. I live in a musically inclined family. My sisters the famous Riccha Paul. Need I say anything else?
I guess shit went down only when I went through my ‘metal phase’. =P

Eight Octaves: Was your family supportive?
Riddhi: They really have been.  I guess my sister made crossing that bridge very easy.

Eight Octaves: Is music a full-time career for you?
Riddhi: No.

Eight Octaves: If no, what do you do alongside music? How do you manage the balance?
Riddhi: I’m a graphic designer and I work freelance. So there’s plenty of time to jam and get my work done.

Eight Octaves: Who is your biggest inspiration? Any women you look up to?
Riddhi: My grandmum, my sister, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Dolores O’Riordan, Tracey Emin, Nan Goldin and the list goes on! I could be such a feminist sometimes.

Eight Octaves: What would be an ideal world to you?
Riddhi: Being able to to perform to an audience that truly appreciates.

Eight Octaves: What is your take on Women in the music industry in India?
Riddhi: We’re getting there, at snail’s pace. But we’re getting there.

ON YOU
Eight Octaves: What clothes do you ideally wear?
Riddhi: Funky, eclectic, yet presentable.

Eight Octaves: Are you the same person off-stage as you are on or do you have two separate identities?
Riddhi: No. I don’t have multiple personality disorder =P

Eight Octaves: Any spot you go to to make music?
Riddhi: If you meant for inspiration, then I would say Camden town, London.
